Sweet Coconut Corn in a Shot

This is actually an Indonesian traditional snack. We usually eat it with other traditional cakes made from sticky rice flour. But this one is my favorite. I love the sensation of chewing sweet corn, also its sweet and savory taste. And i promise you, it is easy as 1 2 3 ^^ For recipe in Bahasa Indonesia, click here 🙂

Ingredients:
corn- sweet 2 Sweet Corn (canned or fresh)  sugar-brown 1 cup of Brown Sugar
 coconut-shredded 1 cup of Shredded Coconut  salt n pepper 1 pinch of Salt
Steps:
  1. Boil sweet corns. Then peal them. It’s easier with canned one, we just need to boil it.
  2. In a pan, add brown sugar. Put it on low heat until it has bubbles. Shake the pan occasionally to avoid burn. DO NOT stir.
  3. Mix the shredded coconut with a pinch of salt.
  4. In a shot glass, pour the brown sugar caramel, add pealed corn, and shredded coconut on top. Enjoy ^^

Resep Bahasa Indonesia

Bahan:
corn- sweet 2 Jagung Manis (bisa yg kaleng)  sugar-brown 1 cangkir Gula Merah
 coconut-shredded 1 cangkir Kelapa Parut  salt n pepper 1 jumput Garam
Cara:
  1. Rebus jagung manis, lalu dilepas dari bongolnya. Jagung manis kalengan biasanya sudah lepasan, jadi tinggal direbus.
  2. Pada sebuah panci, panaskan gula merah denga api kecil hingga berbuih. Sesekali dapat menggoyang goyang panci agar tidak gosong, tapi JANGAN diaduk.
  3. Campurkan garam pada parutan kelapa.
  4. Pada gelas bening, tuangkan karamel gula merah. Taruh pipilan jagung dan parutan kelapa di atasnya. Nikmati ^^
